Our Legacy

1881 HBCU Blue Legacy is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization of Spelmanites committed to serving the Houston Community through service, mentorship, and scholarship.

We are excited to share our Black Girl Magic and support Historically Black Colleges and Universities(HBCUs) scholars. We take pride in promoting Black Excellence in everything we do. We honor our Houston Ancestors by continuing their commitment to serving Houston since the 1800s. Just imagine what we can achieve together!
